From nothing to your first booking
About an hour of setup, in this order — a business cannot take a booking before it has a service and an opening hour.
Register your business
One sitting: your details and photo, then the business — name, address, its point on the map, and one or two of the twelve categories.

Each service carries a name, a price and how long it takes. The duration is what reserves the slot, so it is worth being honest about it.

Seven day cards, with a default of Monday to Friday. These hours are exactly what clients are offered, so this is the screen to check when somebody says they cannot find a time.

Fill in your company information with your RNC, choose NCF or e-CF, and every completed booking issues its receipt. Certification is a process the Davinote team runs with you.

Until a payout account exists the income report stays locked and card is not offered to your clients. In the Dominican Republic this asks for your bank account.

Before you sign up
Questions we get asked
- Do I need an RNC to use Davinote?
- Not to take bookings. You need it to issue fiscal receipts: the company information form requires an RNC before it will save in the Dominican Republic, and issuing can be left switched off until you are ready.
- Can I charge by card?
- Yes, once your payouts are set up. Card is then offered at your clients' checkout and the booking is confirmed and charged straight away instead of waiting for you. Choosing card does not change what they pay.
- Do my clients need the app?
- To book themselves, yes — the Davinote app is free on iOS and Android. You can also create the booking for them from your own Clients tab, and it appears in their account as theirs.
- I go to my clients. Does that work?
- Yes. Set your business to serve at the client's address and the booking asks them to drop a pin and add directions, which reach you with the reservation rather than buried in a note.
- My staff work on commission. Can I manage that?
- Yes. A commission contract has no salary and no payment date — you see the agreed percentage and what they have taken, and you settle by closing the day.
