Payroll and closing the day

Two different rhythms live here. Salaried and rented staff are paid on a date from their contract; commission staff are settled by closing the day. The pending-payments screen is where both are handled.

  1. Open an employee's payroll

From the employees list, tap an active employee. A salaried or rented employee shows their amount and their next payment date with its frequency.

  2. Commission is a different screen

For a commission employee there is no salary and no payment date — you see the agreed percentage and the total they have taken instead. Commission staff have no payment calendar.

  3. Make a salary payment

The pay button starts the payment. The amount comes preloaded with their salary and cannot be typed over, and the confirm button is usable straight away.

No twenty-dollar minimum applies here. That rule belongs to withdrawals, not payroll.

  4. Look at their payment history

Past payments are listed under the payroll. An employee with no history says so rather than showing a blank area.

  5. Open Pending payments

The button above the employees list opens a hub of everyone due. Each row shows the next payment date from their contract and, if it has passed, how overdue it is and how much.

The button only appears when you have employees.

    Open Pending payments
  6. Read "Not available" correctly

A contract with no agreed pay day shows Not available instead of a date, and no overdue days or amount. Without a real date there is no lateness to calculate.

  7. Open the day close

From pending payments, open the day close to settle commission work. Under the balance you see the date of your last close, or that you have never done one.

  8. Watch for the missed-day warning

If a previous day went by without being closed, a warning says so. With your closes up to date the warning is absent and you just see the date of the last one.
